Anna helps Heidi off the field and immediately gets to work on that leg of hers. Looks like a very bad bruise; you can see it going black and blue. She copped a bad knock from Rose’s outstretched boot. Umpires need to warn Rose about this action. Meanwhile, Coach is chatting to Zoe and Andy about Heidi. At this stage, they’re not sure what changes they might have to make.

The third quarter is about to start and Heidi is recovering on the bench with medico Anna by her side. Coach Brenda calls on Talia to take over the ruck work. She moves Emma to full forward, mainly due to her experience playing in various positions, and Ivy takes on the follower’s role.

‘You’ve done so well girls. Some of you might have only dreamed of this but here we are in the lead.’ A rousing cheer goes up. ‘But let’s face it, the Ravens are not done yet so let’s keep up the good work. And there’s no reason why we shouldn’t stay in front! All right, all hands in!’

The team bunches together and yells, ‘SCORPIONS!!’
